WHAT IS MUSIC 2010 CONTEST

We have received 42 pieces of work for our contest published in May 2010.

The best ones are: AERT, Márk Bartha, eop (all three have scored 10/7,4 points) BioNeonSound, r'nr station (both have scored 10/7,2 points).

All the recordings we received are uploaded here and you can vote for [ + ] or against [ - ] them. The results of the public vote will be announced after the festival.
While at What is Music? in 2007 there were one or more outstanding works that we all fell in love with immediately, this time the contestants' achievements were more evenly balanced. We found good ideas, beautiful and interesting sounds, and great solutions even in pieces that received lower scores. This is exciting for us because it means a notable music scene has formed in the past few years despite being secluded from the public domain. This is also good for those who are not in the first line because, hopefully, it will inspire a sense of community which will encourage people to communicate with and learn from each other.

Thank you all for your participation in our contest. You will have the opportunity to listen to the best five pieces and meet the composers in Merlin.
